This week children in Nursery and Reception have been learning all about Diwali. We have used clay to make diva lamps and written Diwali cards.

We celebrated all of our hard work today by having a Diwali party with our families. We sang songs and shared some lovely food that the parents had made! We were so pleased to see so many members of our Swift community attend the party.

Miss Burton said 'The children have really enjoyed learning about different cultures this week and have been sharing stories of how they celebrate at home. We are so proud of the children and all they have achieved this half term. I also want to say a big thank you to our parents who have been so supportive.' One of the children in Reception said 'I celebrate Eid. I wear new clothes and eat lots of lovely food!' Another child said 'I celebrate Christmas. I put decorations on my Christmas tree.'
